XP Tools bundles together more than 20 utilities you can use to protect your privacy, clean up, optimize, and control your system. From a central location you can access several tools that allow you to remove junk files, manage processes, see which applications run at startup, shred files, remove spyware, automatically shut down your PC, and more.

XP Tools works with anything from Windows 9x and 2000 up to Windows Vista and Windows 7. To get the application up and running, you must go through a standard setup process: download an executable, run it, follow the instructions a setup wizard presents. You will be done with the installation process in no time at all, and that’s a very nice thing.

All the functionality XP Tools has to offer is grouped into 4 categories which are displayed on the left side of the application’s interface. Those categories are: Cleanup & Optimize, Privacy & Security, Maintain & Control, Special Utilities. In the upper right hand side of the same interface you will see the Options and the Help menu. Navigating the interface and accessing all the functionality XP Tools has to offer is a very straightforward matter.

As mentioned above, XP Tools comes with more than 23 tools that can prove to be quite handy. Also as mentioned above, these tools are grouped into 4 categories:
Cleanup & Optimize – Clean Disk, Remove Spyware, Clean Registry, Organize Startup, Optimize Memory, and Repair Shortcuts.
Privacy & Security – Hide Folder, Clean Tracks, Clean IE Tracks, EXE Password, Clean BHO, and Shred Files.
Maintain & Control – Manage Windows, Manage Process, Protect IE, XP Uninstaller, and System Information.
Special Utilities – Auto Shutdown, Backup Driver, Folder Size, XP Shell, and Hex Editor.

You can access the functionality XP Tools has to offer from its interface or from the right click context menu. Yes, XP Tools integrates with the Windows Shell, meaning that the functionality the application has to offer is never more than a right click away.

XP Tools is not freeware, it is only free to try – for a period of 14 days.

The very nice thing about XP Tools, apart from the ease of use, is that it has a lot of functionality to offer. It puts more than twenty handy tools at your disposal.

Pros

Installing XP Tools on a Windows-powered machine is a standard, simple process. The interface groups all the utilities XP Tools has to offer into 4 categories. XP Tools has more than 20 utilities to offer.

Cons

Free to use for a trial period of 14 days.
